As we approach Yom HaAtzmaut, Israel's Independence Day, Temple Judea
is thrilled to present an array of engaging events andactivities for our congregation to celebrate together.

Shabbat Guest Speakers
Friday, May 17 at 6pm Life & Safety Committee Co-Chair, Howard Goldman, will be speaking about his 2 weeks in Israel volunteering on an IDF base with Sar-El. An extended Oneg & Q&A session will follow. 

Friday, May 24 at 6pm Director of Education, Seth Lewis Levin, will be speaking about his trip to Israel where he visited the Nova Music Festival Site, Kibbutz Kfar Aza and Mount Zion Cemetery in Jerusalem.

Celebrate Israel's Independence Day with Temple Judea! Join us for a special service, followed by a variety of opportunities for all ages to celebrate, including delicious food, lively dancing, engaging games, and much more. It's an incredible chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and spirit of Israel, right here with your Temple Judea community.

9:30-10am | Family Tefillah in the SanctuaryJoin us for a special service filled with the spirit of Israel as we come together in unity and raise our voices in singing HaTikvah.

10-10:30am | Israeli Dancing in the Social Hall Let's celebrate together through music, movement, and community spirit!

10:30-11:45am | Explore Israel at Temple Judea
- Old City Shuk in the Woolworth Family School Plaza (Suggested Ages 2-5)
- Mehane Yehuda Shuk in the Social Hall (Suggested Ages 6-11)
- Tel Aviv Hostage Square in the Lobby & Memorial Garden (Suggested Ages 11+)

Better Together Panel Discussion: Israel at 100 | Sunday, May 19 12-2pm
Come celebrate Israeli Independence Day with Better Together for the culminating session of our “Israel 75” series with local and international experts. This is a chance to hear from both Gen Z and Boomers on our year of study and as well as looking ahead to the future of our homeland. Speakers include Rabbi Josh Weinberg, Dr. Lenore Kipper, Brian Siegal and Giora Israel. Lunch will be served.
