We invite you to join us for the Temple Judea LEV – From the Heart Capital & Endowment Campaign– a transformative journey that will shape the future of our sacred community and will honor our iconic Jewish landmark. At the heart of our campaign is a vision to restore, renovate, and reimagine many of our campus spaces. Most of us already have a place in our hearts for Temple Judea. Let’s make sure this soft spot is passed down to our children and our children’s children.

The Temple Judea community is strong and thriving. However, our campus must evolve. Many areas need critical repairs, new accommodations, or specific updates. Now is the time for us to ensure that future generations continue to feel the warmth of a beautiful, functional campus where they can fulfill their spiritual, cultural, educational, and social needs.  Temple Judea is filled with spaces of meaningful reflection, celebration, and learning, replete with memories, both joyful and sad.  As we embark on this Jewish journey to reenergize our campus, we strengthen our soul by bringing our entire Temple Judea community together to build this legacy. This future-focused investment makes sense for us today – and for tomorrow.  Over the next five years, we will see valued, generous, and gracious philanthropy at work funding our reimagined campus. We are so deeply proud and grateful to you for being such an integral part of this heartfelt mission. Please join us as we embark on this extraordinary endeavor. By uniting in purpose, we will strengthen our bonds and amplify the impact of our synagogue within our congregation and beyond.

“There is a midrash which points out that the last word in Deuteronomy is Yisrael, and the first word in Genesis is Bereshit. If you take the final letter of Yisrael, the lamed, and the first letter of Bereshit, the bet, and put them together they spell leib in Yiddish and lev in Hebrew, which means heart. From this midrash we learn that the Torah is the lev - the heart of the Jewish people and that it is the heart that holds Torah together.  The LEV – From the Heart Capital & Endowment Campaign will help our community to renew our sacred spaces and ensure they are inclusive of all people, allowing us to live up to our highest ideals in the Torah, treating each person as one who is made in the image of God, and bringing us together as one unified kehillah.”  - From our Clergy
