Make an impact on world hunger through this hands-on, fun community mitzvah project. We need 200 volunteers to package 20,000 nutritious

L.E.A.D. Program
Literacy for Every Adult in Dade County. Teaching adults to read can be a very fulfilling mitzvah. This program includes a 4-5 hour training session to be held at Temple Judea at a later date. Required fingerprinting and background checks will also be available at the Temple. Tutoring sessions are held at public libraries with times at the discretion of the teacher and student. Pots of Love
Create hand-decorated clay pots. After decorating, fill the pot with a plant and they will be delivered to the residents at The Palace in Coral Gables. Ages 2 and older (young children must be accompanied by an adult) - 30 people

Scavenger Hunt at Milam’s Market for JCS Kosher Food Bank
Get Your team and search around. Hunt for food items that need to be found. Through Milam’s aisles and up on shelves, collect them fast and get a prize yourself! Have fun with the whole family while you solve clues and purchase items for the JCS Food Bank. Coordinated with Jewish Community Services. All ages - 50 people *Register below

Please bring gently-used children’s books for our community’s children who don’t have and drop them in the Read to Learn Books for Free bins!
Our donated baby books, first readers and picture books stock 65 Read to Learn Books for Free book shelves located all over town. Over 5000 books are taken home weekly from the shelves- please help keep the shelves stocked.
