We are thrilled to announce that the Soup Kitchen, a legacy
Temple Judea initiative, will return on October 20th.
Monday Night Meals, as the program will now be called, will be cooked in the Temple Judea kitchen Monday mornings and served at the Christ Episcopal Church Monday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 at 3481 Hibiscus Street in Coconut Grove.
So many Temple members have enjoyed the camaraderie and fulfillment of participating in this worthy program over the years. We look forward to having our veterans return and to welcoming new participants.
All Temple Judea members in good standing are invited to take part. Registration will open soon — once available, you’ll be able to complete the form below to indicate your preferred role. We’ll do our best to include everyone who wants to join us, whether by taking an active cooking or serving role.
If you wish to support the Monday Night Meals program but can’t be there in person, please consider contributing to the Michael Eisenstat Soup Kitchen Fund, which provides the sole financial support to maintain this important program. Finally, baking dessert and bringing it to the Temple kitchen Monday is a wonderful way to lend support – and a great mitzvah project for a B’nai Mitzvot or any member.
