Lifelong Learning in Community  

Learners from across Greater South Dade come together at Temple Judea to experience Jewish life through dynamic, engaging programs grounded in Reform tradition. Whether you’re here to deepen your knowledge, build community, or simply try something new, our programs are designed to spark learning, creativity, and conversation. 

Our offerings include: 

• Scholars-in-Residence: Weekend-long deep dives with leading voices in Jewish thought, art, and spirituality. 

• Visiting Scholars: Friday night teachings or Saturday Torah studies that connect learning to real-world issues, like Jewish identity on college campuses or music in times of challenge. 

• Ongoing Courses: Study series on Hebrew, sacred milestones, Jewish parenting, and more, led by our clergy and educators. 

• Experiential Learning: Cooking classes, film series, musical gatherings, and special trips that bring Jewish culture and values to life. 

• Travel Opportunities: Meaningful trips to Israel and other destinations offer immersive Jewish experiences and the chance to learn and connect through shared exploration.

Judaic Learning 

Our Adult Education curriculum is rooted in the belief that learning is most powerful when it brings people together. In times of division, we turn to Kol Yisrael arevim zeh bazeh—reminding us that we are responsible not only for ourselves, but for one another, our community, and our global Jewish family. 

Through Jewish texts, traditions, and values, we explore: 

• Unity and Shared Responsibility (Areyvut) 

• Respectful Dialogue and Disagreement (Machloket) 

• Compassionate Critique (Tochecha) 

Shabbat and holidays become platforms for deeper engagement. Torah becomes a conversation starter. We wrestle with tradition and faith, challenge ideas with respect, and walk away stronger—together. 

Whether you learn best through group dialogue, solo study, or intergenerational exploration, our programs offer space for every voice. We invite you to learn alongside us—in community, with courage and compassion.
