Survivor & Savior: A Nova Festival Story
Thursday, October 2, 2025 • 10 Tishrei 5786
2:00 PM - 3:00 PMJoin us after Yom Kippur services for a powerful program featuring Shalev Biton, a Nova Festival survivor, and Younes El Krinawi, a Bedouin farmer and civilian hero. Childcare will be provided so families can fully participate.
Shalev Biton, a 26-year-old musician and survivor of the Nova Festival attack, and Younes El Krinawi, a Bedouin farmer from Rahat honored with the Israeli Presidential Medal of Civilian Heroism, will offer testimony about their experiences on October 7, 2023.
That day, Younes risked his life to shelter Shalev and dozens of others, ultimately saving 32 people from certain death.
Their connection—born of trauma, courage, and an unlikely bond—has since grown into a mission to inspire resilience, compassion, and dialogue across communities. Today, they speak at universities, Jewish organizations, and international forums, offering a rare firsthand account of October 7 while reminding the world of the enduring power of humanity, empathy, and coexistence, even in the darkest times.
