Our Youth In Action

Youth Groups

Youth group involvement is a way to strengthen our children’s Jewish identity through social, religious, social action, and fundraising activities. The leadership aspects of the program help to develop the Jewish leaders of tomorrow. Our youth groups are directed by a team of professionals who are dedicated to the future of our children and to the future of Judaism. For more information, contact Sharon Israel, Youth Coordinator, at s.israel@judeagables.org

Star 1-2-3
Star 123 is an introduction to youth groups. It is open to all students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, and offers Jewish and social activities to bring the students together. They meet twice a year on Sundays at noon after Religious School. Participants enjoy both on-site and off-site excursions.

Club 45
Club 45 offers a unique opportunity for 4th and 5th graders. Through this youth group, the students will participate in activities both at Temple Judea and off-site. Club 45 meets once a month, usually immediately after Sunday School.

JTY-Jr.
JTY-Jr. serves the needs of the Miami area middle school students. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders come together each month for programs designed to connect them to Judaism. JTY Jr. has a mix of social, social action, religious, and educational programming, giving members a wonderful youth group experience.

JTY
JTY is Temple Judea’s Chapter of the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), and is open to all Jewish high school students. Students meet Monday evenings from 7:45-9:00 after Judea High. There is a mix of social, religious, social action, and educational programming. In addition, they have opportunities to attend regional and national events where teens come together for weekends of Jewish learning, leadership development, and fun.
