Temple Judea’s Outreach program offers information and activities for Jews-by-Choice, interfaith couples and families, and anyone wanting a stronger connection to Judaism. The definition of what constitutes a "Jewish family" has changed. Whether both parties in your family are Jewish or not, we are here to support you on your life’s journey. We hope to provide the resources to help you make informed, educated life decisions.
Any temple members or preschool families who are not yet members can be notified directly about our upcoming meetings or events, by sending your name, phone number, and e-mail address to: Outreach Committee Co-Chairs: Barbara & Daryle Osborn at outreachjudea@yahoo.com or call Rabbi Judith Siegal at the temple, 305-667-5657.

Classes - Beginning Fall 2010
Bridge to the Home
A course specifically designed for interfaith families, Jews-by-Choice, or anyone balancing multiple faith traditions within their family or extended family. The 8 session course will be guided by a trained facilitator, and will cover holidays, life cycle events, the Jewish home, and the interfaith journey. There will be lively discussion and plenty of time for questions and answers! For more information, call: 305-667-5657
Grandparents’ Circle
An educational and support experience for grandparents whose grandchildren are living in interfaith homes. Participants discuss a wide range of techniques for nurturing, and in some cases, establishing, a grandchild’s Jewish identity. Yes, grandparents CAN impact the religious identity of their grandchildren, even from a long distance! This course will help give them the tools with which to do so. It also provides a peer group of people who share their concerns and can acknowledge the challenges and rewards of an extended interfaith family. For more information, call: 305-667-5657.
