Jill Sommer Band, M.S., Director of Early Childhood Education, a Miami native, received her Masters in Education from the University of Miami in 1990 after already receiving a B.S.B.A. in Business/Marketing from the Universityof Denver. Mrs. Band began her teaching career as an individualized instructor for Carol Dardick and Associates while concurrently working as an elementary schoolteacher at Saint Thomas Episcopal School. Since 1995, Mrs. Band has owned and operated an education company devoted to one-on-one instruction for children with special learning challenges. It was there that she began to develop customized curriculum to meet the specific learning needs of children with varying abilities. She was successful in implementing solutions to help these children achieve. She looks forward to new challenges and opportunities for further learning in the exciting and always progressive field of Early Childhood Education. She has been Director of the Margaux School of Temple Judea since July 2003.
